AOB Gallery to Host Solo Artist Review for Nationally Emerging Artist James Babcock

Join James September 12th – 14th for an artist review hosted by Art Obsession Gallery in Truckee, California.

Sharing from many years of back-packing and hiking adventures, Jim will highlight his time spent in the Sierra Mountains. Much of his high sierra mountain artwork will be featured during this weekend show.

We are also pleased to announce his recent acceptance as one of Southwest Art Magazines Nationally Emerging Artists. His work is featured in the September Issue 2014 under the Nationally Emerging Artists section.

So, won’t you please join him for an evening or two at this eclectic venue, one of Truckee’s hot spots for great art, wine tasting, and lots of friendly people.

Just a few short weeks until opening day as the California Art Club presents Rivers of Gold: The Inaugural Exhibition of the Greater Sacramento Sierra Chapter. This years theme will showcase paintings depicting northern California rivers.

As a new member of the Sacramento Sierra Chapter, James will exhibit his piece, Winter Morning Along the American River, 24 x 36, oil on linen, at the Bank of America Gallery in Three Stages at Folsom Lake College. This two month show runs from Saturday, July 21th through Sunday, September 2, 2012.

Life long Sonoma County residence, Neil and Sandy Bohn of Counterpoint Construction Services, Inc. will host an extended exhibition of The Art of James English Babcock beginning in April 2012.

…and just a note, James’ body of work reflective of the North Fork of the Yuba River, exhibiting at Placer County Air Pollution Control District, a venue for the Auburn Art Walk, has been extended until April 15, 2012.

Inspired by Faith

Bridgeway Christian Church in Rocklin, California will host a two-day, group art exhibit featuring works inspired by ones faith and love for God on the weekend of October 29th – 30th, 2011.

James will showcase a piece titled Dwelling Places, a work depicting his rendition of our journey through life as we learn to walk with God. Dwelling Places was painted in 2002 and is part of his private collection. This event marks a first time public showing of this work. Perhaps as you reflect upon this piece you may find inspiration or meaning relevant to you.
